I'm never quite sure what to put in these about me things. Um...I'm 18, geeky, yes I'm a girl who plays dungeons and dragons, we do exist. I work in a bookstore. I'm a writer and a wannabe artist, though writing is a form of art so I suppose that's about the same thing. I'm usually pretty mellow and often too nice for my own good I'm told...until you piss me off. I'm kind of eccentric...

I hate drama and when people just won't get along. I hate beaurocracy and people/groups/whatever needing to be in control of everything and making stupid unneccesary rules. I want to be in control of one thing, ME. Mess with that and I will become a complete and utter bitch.

I like books, and I read obsessively. Fantasy and Scifi are my thing, but as long as it's engaging and has characters I can relate to, I'm willing to give it a shot. I like happy endings. Life is full of depressing things, what I read does not need to add more. I am a staunch supporter of genre fiction. Most literary fiction I've read has bored me to tears, though there are some exceptions, ie: Shakespeare. The bard is great.

I enjoy acting too, especially the aforementioned Shakespeare. I would love to play Viola from Twelfth Night someday. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to get much acting experience.

I like swords. I'm very into medieval weaponry. I am a fencer, I fence saber. I love archery, though living in paranoid suburbia I don't get much of a chance to shoot. As my college doesn't have a saber team, I picked up karate, which is a new thing for me. I'm currently a red belt and working my way up. I have a fascination with combat oriented sports. This is interesting as in reality I am a pacifist.

I like RPGs. This includes the aforementioned dungeons and dragons as well as computer RPGs such as Planescape Torment (amazing game) and Baldur's Gate (working on that one still.) College has give me experience with other games such as various World of Darkness games and Exalted.

Music is good stuff too. At the moment I'm into a lot of rock, some mainstream, some more obscure. Mostly, to be perfectly honest, what I hear on the radio or my friends lend me because I really don't have the money to spend on CDs (okay, that's a lie I probably do as much as any other student, but I spend most of it on books etc. and useless things I don't really need.) I also have a taste for Celtic music.

I have a weak spot for wierd scifi TV shows. I have been a trekkie, my favorite being Voyager. I am a Stargate SG-1 obsessive and a devoted fan of the works of Joss Whedon. I am told I'm some sort of bizzare Inara/River cross. My most recent addition to this list of fandoms is Battlestar Galactica. I wasn't so into the beginning, but by the I saw seasons two and three I was absolutely hooked.

And against all odds of my personality, I like flowers and dancing in the rain.
